I chose this career path because
I chose this career path while working through college as a substitute teacher. I switched from pre-med to education.
I prepared for this career by
I received a Bachelor from Southern Il University and a Master from University of South Florida.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge is when I started teaching we were able to design the curriculum to meet the needs of the students and know we are told what we have to do and teach.
My greatest strength(s)
My greatest strength is emerging literacy, learning the ABC sounds and becoming a proficient reader.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment is mentoring other teacher, teaching them to e their own thinkers and interacting with the struggling leaders, parents and children along the way.
My personal/professional goals
My professional goal is to continue to teach, being a leader and to influence the legislator about school curriculum.
What/Who has inspired me the most
I am inspired by the children, the parents, being there for them and seeing how they have grown.

I volunteer on mission trips and youth groups at the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church.
