After getting my BBA in Finance, my initial intention was to go into finance! I started working at Fidelity Investments and expected to become a portfolio manager. Plans changed when I sat next to the IT Director who resigned, and my manager came up to me and said,"Ok you are our new IT Director!". When I was younger I was terrified of computers, but here I was accepting a position as an IT Director. The rest is history! 

I obtained a BBA in Finance from Georgia State University. As far as my career in IT, while I have taken vendor courses, most everything I know I learned through experience and on-the-job.

Until about 2012 I didn't notice there were very few women in the field. As a matter of fact, I felt pretty confident that I could get into "the room" before my male counterparts. I soon learned that staying in "the room" presented it's challenges. Then in 2013 I became Chief of Staff at Informatica and was doing everything operational, running the show and became highly visible. There were only 4 women in leadership roles out of 80 leadership positions. I became highly visible in my role and realized the challenges of being a woman in leadership and being taken seriously.

My strengths are communications and building relationships both internally and externally. I am also very good at sales and execution.

There are three great accomplishments I would like to mention. First and foremost, I am most proud of raising my 16 year old daughter. Second, I am a cancer survivor. And third, is establishing a huge, wonderful global network that is very supportive.

My professional goal is to make this company go public and to continue to grow it. Toward that end, I need continued support from the executive team, which I already get in spades and to increase the mentality of partnering by sales reps with our clients. We are in a phase now where we expect to double our growth in 6 months. My personal goal is to have the financial security that affords me the ability to put my daughter through college effortlessly. 

Doing right by my daughter inspires me most. After having survived cancer, I have a new perspective on life and want to have some fun!

My legacy should be "I came, I saw, I conquered!"
