I was a very young mother when I  found my passion for the insurance industry.  I am always learning something new and the landscape of insurance is ever changing. I enjoy working with people in the industry who are committed to providing great service and teaching them so they can move on. 

I finished two years of college and the rest was on the job training and learning from the bottom up. I have since completed many courses and seminars.

As a woman in this field I have always had to work harder and smarter then my male counterparts in order to advance. I have seen experienced pay disparity first hand. Additionally, the choice to raise my family and not complete my degree has added another type of challenge. 

Among my greatest strengths are my attention to detail, my work ethic and ability to produce, and my ability to create functional, cohesive teams that are able to flourish and function without leadership.

On a personal level, raising four educated, successful children and the seven grandchildren that they are parenting. I was a very young mother who made the choice to consciously raise her children and put her 4 year degree aside. I pushed through the ranks while making sure that each child received their degree. I am proud to say they are not only college graduates, but each one is a success in their chosen field.  

Professionally, it is where I am now as an Assistant Vice President who forged forward, always learning and performing to the high standards I set for myself. I am proud to occupy the space I am in now as an AVP/Program Manager for the Actuarial Department at Chubb. 

I would like to continue to grow and thrive in my role, and I do not see retirement for at least a decade or more. I want to make sure that I continue to grow a strong team to ensure a solid foundation that won't crack when I am ready to move on. I want to create a succession plan that will ensure continued growth and opportunities for the department. 

My inspiration comes from within. It comes from the pure passion I have for the work I do --- sometimes I am driven to a fault. I give honest advice and feed on the success of the team I have pulled through to get re-energized. 

Most importantly I want to be remembered as a compassionate, kind and fair leader and mom. A woman who had high expectations but never neglected to appreciate and show care for her family, friends and the teams that worked for her.
