After circumstances put me on a path to reconsider my career path, a friend pointed me in this direction, where I found the perfect place to cultivate my passions in the church of England.  Growing up my family was in the construction and building trade, and so I already spoke the language. That, along with my love of historic buildings served me well! In my role as Head of DAC, Pastoral and Closed Churches at Winchester Diocesan Board of Finance, I used my educational, vocational and life experiences to become one of only a handful of Secretary's in the UK. Every day is different and filled with it's own challenges and rewards.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Humanities and Humanistic studies from Ludlow College, Wolverhampton University. Additionally, I spent many years as an Accountant in the finance world. 

Men, on the professional front, I find are averse to risk taking, and that is often necessary in this profession. 

I can see opportunity in situations and in people that fosters them to bloom and blossom and use their expertise to go on and become successful! I am not afraid to take a risk, and own the outcome, whether it is good or bad, and I keep going. 

I am most proud to say that I was able to overcome a major depression and manage it in order to live the life I now have despite major obstacles, I always had my faith to guide me, and I never felt alone. I am proud to say that we are shaped by our experiences no matter how dark they may seem, I have overcome a horrific and life altering accident and I am a breast cancer survivor who sees there is no choice but to keep going, as they say, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!"

I am excited to be planning a "Mobile Barrista", a coffee shop one wheels to travel to churches so that all people no matter, race, religion or ethnicity will feel comfortable to walk in freely, and perpetuate an open door policy for the purpose of building social enterprise and entrepreneurial space. And then ultimately make these churches work for the community. 

My husband David is my world, he is my total soulmate and we make a great team.  His support along with the people who use the church and their vision of using the church as a conduit to connect people motivates me to keep reaching. 

I want to be remembered for truly listening to what people said and helping them delivery their message.
