As a professional woman. mother, daughter and spouse, Ms. Velez feels blessed to be a woman with purpose and strength.

She chose this career path because she has always liked numbers, math and business. Ms. Velez has worked for 9 years as a comptroller for a broker dealer; she worked with that company until it closed. She has worked at Warner Bros in Puerto Rico for the past 10 years now, and has held the position of deputy general manager for the  past 6 years. In that role, Ms. Velez is responsible for distribution, marketing, and accounting for Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Curacao, St. Croix and Aruba. She is the first woman at Warner Bros in Puerto Rico to hold this position. Additionally, Ms. Velez is a CPA.

Ms. Velez received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Puerto Rico in 1991. She was certified as a CPA in 1992

Being a woman has been a challenge every day at work. She finds that her staff does not always listen to her because of her gender.

Her greatest strengths are her drive, positive attitude and sense of humor. Ms. Velez always looks for solutions, and loves her job.

Ms. Velez has a background in accounting, and has worked her way up to a marketing position. She is proud to be able to work with advertisers without any background in marketing.

She would like to have more exposure in her industry, and would love to be more involved in the community.

Ms. Velez was inspired by her dad, who was a humble and hard working man. She looked up to him and thought of him as her hero.

She wants to be remembered as a humble, hard working woman who has helped people.

Ms. Velez enjoys walking and running. She also enjoys spending time with her son and going to his concerts.
