I am from Columbia, South America. My mother was a teacher and my father a manager at a banana plantation. From the time I can remember I was taught to give back. I was drawn to education in an effort to help minorities. 

I prepared for this career in South America. My BA was in Education Administration. In Columbia the next degree is called Specialization.  My first Specialization was in Education Administration and my second in Public Administration. I then was a pre school teacher for three years. At forty years old I came to the United States and did not speak English. I went to University of South Carolina to learn English. I then got my MBA in Education Administration. I received a full scholarship to the University of Texas for my PhD in International Business.

The biggest challenge I've overcome was in Columbia. I was always competing with males. I knew we were on the level and didn't want anyone to put up barriers.

By far my values and ethics are my greatest strengths. I respect everyone and want to help minorities. I am inclusive and am a team player. I build bridges....for example....community and government.

My greatest accomplishment is that every day I help students. 

My professional goal is to become President of a community college. I do research and continue to go to classes to be current and become President and lead.

My inspiration comes from the passion for social justice and to give back to the community. I advocate for those minorities that need help.

I most want to be remembered for a person who advocates for social justice.

I enjoy golfing with my husband. I go to the gym every weekend.
