With strategies in place, we become a coach and accountability partner for successful execution that leads to financial independence.
I chose this career path because
The decision to leave a promising military career was not an easy one, but in the end my children were my top priority. Even though I had been trained in Engineering, I received an MBA and decided I wanted to work with people and help them. I get to use the analytical engineer background that I have combined with my leadership skills and business acumen to help people. I especially like reaching out to women because their financial needs are so different and varied. I am excited to bring my W-2 Woman program to fruition.
I prepared for this career by
I spent 16 years of Service to the US Military and I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I was one of the first women to graduate from the accredited program. I completed an M.S. in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology, an Executive M.B.A from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Additionally, I hold a certification in Charitable Planning and Master's Degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. I am currently completing a doctoral degree at Texas Tech University in Personal Financial Planning.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
The biggest challenge I have faced is being an attractive woman - and accepted on my merits.
My greatest strength(s)
The ability to take charge of a situation is one my greatest values, along with the ability to take a concept and make it simple for people to understand.
My greatest accomplishment to date
I am most proud of my two sons. I left the military to be able to raise my boys, and they have both turned into fine men. It was a small sacrifice to leave my career because I wanted to honor God's gift - those two boys.
My personal/professional goals
I would like to grow the financial literacy program that I have started and see it offered in universities and continue to grow in my financial services business as well.
