About me
I am passionate about creating a safer, cleaner, greener place for this generation and the ones to come by using 100 renewable energy, not only in California, but around the world. I work to advance the deployment of renewable energy and distributed energy technologies worldwide. I founded New Energy Options, Inc.,in 2006. Two years later I founded Renewables 100 Policy Institute. I sit on the CAISO Board of Governors and instituted LA's solar power program, which has become the largest and fastest growing solar program in the US.

I chose this career path because
I am passionate about Renewabale Energy, energy is power, and renewable energy literally gives the power to the people. Our dependence on conventional energy sources is causing multiple global crises.
The key to resolving these problems is changing how we get and use energy. Transitioning from finite and polluting energy sources to efficiently implemented, clean, renewable energy sources is needed to carry civilization into a more secure future.
Without energy, nothing works. Non-renewable energy sources will, by definition, diminish. According to industry data, these fuels are likely to be depleted in the lifetime of a child born today. As conventional energy resources wane, their economics tend to become increasingly volatile, and the crises they cause become ever more dangerous.
It is, therefore, not a question of if 100% renewable energy will become a reality; it is a question of when, how, and who will lead and profit.
I prepared for this career by
I graduated from Pace University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1993 and a LL.M. degree in 1994 in Environmental and Energy Law and specialized in electric utility strategic policy analysis and decision making focusing on pending industry transition and deregulation issues.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
It is amazing to me that monolithic male dominated peers do not seek to use my voice to speak in the Renewable Energy Sector where I have founded a company and a policy making organization, been appointed to the CAISO Board of Directors, and implemented a Solar Energy Program that is spreading globally .
My greatest strength(s)
My greatest strength is the pure passion that I have for renewable energy and empowering the people through the emerging technologies. I am also perseverant and optimistic and have the ability to see the bigger picture.
My greatest accomplishment to date
Founding Renewable 100 is my greatest accomplishment.
My personal/professional goals
I would like the world to use 100% Renewable Energy, in my lifetime. I am planning to continue to be in the forefront and set the "big picture" by pushing for necessary regulations, and outlining a realistic timeline to implement the technological pieces along the way.
What/Who has inspired me the most
My pure love of energy. This is fun for me it's not labor - I am fulfilling my calling.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I want to be remembered for being a woman who said it was possible and doable to use 100% renewable energy, and actually doing it!
