About me
Both of my sons are very talented and creative. Adam is in a program that targets art. Nathan is very talented with photography.
I chose this career path because
I chose this career path because I worked in the child care field for 20 years and worked with children with special needs. I have two sons on the autism spectrum and I saw the need to help this community. I am also an adjunct facilitator at Columbia College.
I prepared for this career by
I received a Master of Social Work in counseling and a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge is working on things. I am a strength-based person.
My greatest strength(s)
I am a generalist. My greatest strengths are in preventive skills and parenting assistance.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment is being an adjunct facilitator at Columbia College.
My personal/professional goals
My professional goal is to collaborate with my sons who are artists, and create a parenting program using photographs as visuals. I also want to continue to write poetry.
What/Who has inspired me the most
I am inspired by hope and having the ability to go into people's homes to interact with their children.

I enjoy spending time with my sons and doing something with my husband's photography in his memory.
