About me
Ms. Garcia serves as the director of talent acquisition at Insight for the company's North American operations. Her team is responsible for finding talent across the U.S. and into Montréal, Canada. She has a team of 22 within her department, comprised of some of the most outstanding men and women who Ms. Garcia has ever had the pleasure of working with.
About my company
Ms. Garcia and her team exist to help acquire the best talent available for Insight. They do this by building meaningful connections with their clients, partners and teammates. Ms. Garcia was fortunate enough to have several mentors in her life, throughout college and early in her career, who have helped shape her into the leader and businesswoman she is today.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
One of the biggest challenges Ms. Garcia has overcome was making the transition from running a small privately held consulting organization to now working for a large publicly held enterprise. Transitioning from sales and recruiting business to running a talent acquisition team in an HR department. Fortunately Insight has a very large Services division which affords Ms. Garcia the opportunity to lead both corporate, technical and consulting recruitment effort for Insight and their external clients.
My greatest strength(s)
Her greatest strengths include building high-performing recruitment teams through hiring the right people, training them well, and creating a fun and energetic work environment. She is also held in high regard for her unique ability to manage high volume fast paced hiring cycles for both corporate and technical recruiting efforts. Ms. Garcia excels in building
My greatest accomplishment to date
Ms. Garcia's greatest accomplishment to date is being able to balance her work life and home life. She has two son's who she adores. When Ms. Garcia is not working she spends time watching her boys play basketball and participate in the JROTC. Both her sons are active in the community with the local church and schools.
My personal/professional goals
Ms. Garcia professional goals include transforming the hiring strategy from a reactive requisition driven recruitment process to a proactive candidate driven talent acquisition strategy.
What/Who has inspired me the most
Ms. Garcia is inspired by many things. Family, friends and her career. She is fortunate enough to have a rewarding career that she enjoys so much that it really doesn't feel like work. After 20 years in the technology recruitment industry, Ms. Garcia still jumps out of bed in the morning and drives fast to work every day. She is inspired by the team she leads and the many accomplishments they have achieved.
I most want to be known/remembered for
Ms. Garcia would like to be remembered for her generosity. Ms. Garcia enjoys helping people. She would much rather give than receive.
