I chose this career because I have always been interested in helping people and reaching out into the community. I've always been strong in math and science and felt it was a way to use my knowledge and strengths.

I have prepared for my career by receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Middlebury College and my Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University and my continuous Education.

The biggest challenges that I had overcome were being respected and recognized in my field when I first started.

My greatest strengths are my sensitivity to others and their feelings and integrating personal and professional interests.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment has been to advocate for the mentally ill all around the world.
My personal/professional goals
My professional and personal goals are to write a book about my experiences working in my field.
What/Who has inspired me the most
My biggest inspiration is the people, individuals that I work with. I've learned about Psychiatry as I continue to grow. I am most inspired by my husband and his encouragement through the years.

I most want to be remembered for my kindness and generosity.

I am currently involved with the American Psychological Association, The Archdiocese of Brooklyn, The New York State Psychological Association and the Junior League of Brooklyn.

I was awarded the 2013 Brooklyn Links Inc. award for over 35 years of service. I was also recognized by Continental Who's Who.
