About me

Alice Stevens is an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist. She assists in the development and coordination of Jewish Family Services of Delaware prevention program, which includes rape prevention, domestic violence, substance abuse, creating healthy relationships, as well as working with schools and community groups. She facilitates evidence-based program to community groups, and while enabling youth-community interaction and involvement. Alice graduated from The University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Master' Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. She is also a Certified Workshop Facilitator and Motivational Speaker.

I chose this career path because

Natural progression of skills and knowledge gained since 17 years of age; providing mentoring skills for individuals since a young age

I prepared for this career by

Volunteering in the community, expanding my knowledge and getting professional qualifications.

The biggest challenge I've overcome

Pressing forward with ambitiousness without hindrance from concerns of competitiveness or gender-related discriminatory concerns

My greatest strength(s)

Communication and relationship building skills with our youths and everyone I come in contact with; natural positive perspective with kindness and courageousness; team orientation with collaborative perspective

My greatest accomplishment to date

Having a wonderful an caring family and gaining my master's without any high school education up-to-date. 

My personal/professional goals

Creative development of nonprofit organization for youths with services to encompass preventive programs and other mental health related issues for enhanced value-added social services

What/Who has inspired me the most

Everyone I have met have inspired me to push me forward. The love of my faith, and knowing that education can motivate the world to accomplish greatness.

Being a kind and caring person with humanitarian values and commitment to bring forth positive lives with divine guidance
